Hi! This is a website assignment created from the ground-up using HTML and CSS for my UTS subject 'Web Systems'. This subject is an introduction to information technology using the web as a core case study.
Us students learn about the underlying hardware, software, networks and operating systems behind websites and set up a functional website using this knowledge. Web systems is among 4 subject I study this semester (not in any particular order):
Currently, my two favourite subjects are Web Systems and Programming 1 because they are both practical and I love practical work, especially IT practical work, although I am having a hard time deciding between which subject is my favourite out of the two. I have ups and downs in both subjects so it's a little hard to provide a definitive answer, however they are both very good subjects. On the other hand, Intro to IS and CITP are not very fun subjects, which I find to be very boring. The only "fun" aspect of CITP is the ability to meet and collaborate with new people through group tasks.
Outside and away from the topic of University and studies, I enjoy playing Touch Footy with my friends. I've been playing since 2017 and love to meet and play with new people every year. To the right is a photo of me and my team when we competed in the 2022 Junior State Cup (JSC) tournament. Some of the kids in this team have been playing for quite a while, and for the others it's their first year. Unfortunately, this was the last year of the Junior competition simply because we are too old to compete with the junoirs now, thus we have to move to Senior State Cup (SSC). Also, later in this year I will (hopefully) be competing in the Touch Football Asian Cup, where I will be competing for my home country - Lebanon - against a wide variety of cuntires in the Asian region, such as:
among a vast number of other teams in the Asian region. The following tournament is being hosted in England, which is the Touch Football World Cup. Unfortunately, I don't know too much about the World Cup because it's still a ways away (Mid 2024) but I'm certain I will be entering to compete against the best of the best from each country. I am a little less confident I'll make the World Cup than the Asian Cup but I still have to try, and I have no issues going down with a fight!! At least if I don't make it I can look back knowing I had a solid crack.
Apart from hanging out with my friends or playing sport, I love gaming. Ever since I was as young as 4 years old I would always play games whenever I had the chance. My favourite video game company is Nintendo and my favourite Nintendo franchise has to be the Super Mario franchise. I love Mario so much. I couldn't even begin to count the number of hours I've dropped into playing Mario games. From my first console (GameBoy Advance) to my current console (Nintendo Switch) there is not one Mario game I've picked up and said "This is a piece of sh#t!"
